Overhang and rail clamp positions OMG

I cannot believe the quality of some Installations that I have come across of late, here are some pictures of one I drove past today.



Look at the panel overhanging the hip, and where it is clamped.:tt1:

Not to mention the problems with shade with the 2 chimneys.

But this is the problem, most customers do not know what is right and what is wrong.

We all know that this is so wrong it is almost laughable, but if the installer came out with a story like " it will be fine, our panels are all tested for fiscal loadings, and we have all the wind calculation compiled on the very latest software".

But thanks to the OP for making me smile, but it is a sad shame for that customer..

to be fair, with those two chimneys the house pretty ugly before it was tarnished with a horrendously installed solar installation... i've seen shockers but that is like an advert of how not to it...

Princesolar tell the council its breaching planning regs see what they say. Its in my area drive past it everyday for a laugh

I think we might use this on our website under a new web page titled 'How not to install solar panels and how to devalue the price of your property'

Every installation I see around West Yorkshire installed badly I just think. We could have installed that 100 times better

I keep thinking about having a page with bad installations but I'd be worried that the customers didn't read it properly and thought they were mine!!

Made me smile though after another tough 2 no D rating out of 4 surveys day again!

Planning he wouldnt talk to building control forme at that time so gave up. They have seen it told me, just said does look out of place when he drove passed
