hi guys,

1st time posting something on here, i have a small problem with a customers overhead crane, basicly the cross travel on the crane has 2 speeds fast and slow, the fast works fine, but the slow speed will not work. when the button on the hand control is pressed the contactor in the panel will opperate but nothing happens at the motor and there is power getting to the motor. another problem is there is no drawings.

any thoughts welcome.

thanks

are you getting the correct voltage on the output side of the contactor when under load? could be the contactor is goosed. is it 3 phase?if so you could have 1 phase of the contactor down.

just to up date you on my problem with this crane, i spent a day trasing out all the wires and folowing drawings only to find that the motor was a single speed motor but hasd been wired up as a 2 speed motor in the control panel.

any way result of this is that the customer still wants the crane to go slower so looking in to fitting a inverter.

(1st time 4 every thing :willy_nilly: lol)
