Got a call this evening asking if I could repair overhead lines between house and garage, haven't seen it but think it could be about 20 meters. Shouldn't be a problem but where will I get cable, is it something that the wholesalers normally stock?

probably just T&E suspended on a make shift washing line that has finally given up the ghost!! lol

Look at the JOB before you start worrying about cable etc!!

some decent brackets and some cantenary wire with SWA or HITUF will do the job...

If it’s on porcelain pot insulators you will need HD (hard drawn) singles.
If it's on a catenary then I would go for split concentric.

There is an art to making off HD cable on OH’s, you will need a line tensioner clamp and a Turfor.
