Recently had to work on Chinese plastics dryer with an overload relay wired in series with contactor latching circuit auxiliary contacts. When the overload trips you can still turn on the motor while the button is pressed. Why is that? It should be tight before the A1 or A2 terminal

I have seen Chinese products without any earth wires on certain parts which gave electric shocks. Why are these things allowed in the UK?

This is why you shouldn't buy their rubbish, the stop circuit should command priority on the start circuit, clearly by you explanation you have a control system that is far from meeting EU regulations, it worries me the amount of breaches that it may have that you just don't recognise due to your lack of experience.

I'd be interested if you could post a pic inside the control panel so I can play a favourite game of mine called spot the regulation breaches.. :)
