overload setting for a D.O.L starter, 0.65Kw motor, I have got 1.2A i am just wanting someone to clarifly this please

afaik the 0.65 is output power and you have to work back using efficiency and pf

so you'd be better get fla off nameplate i reckon

this link shows a formula for working back or you might be able to read approximate values off a chart

but i'd say it would be unusual to set an overload based on these calculations

That motor O/L setting figure of 1.2A, is pretty much good to go!!
