When carrying out a Periodic Inspection Report that has more than 1 D.B. in the property do I have to fill page 3 of the NIC forms for each board?

I am a bit confused about section L of page 3, the section which has main switch or circuit breaker -

Is this part of the section intended for the details of the main switch located inside of each D.B. or is it intended for a main switch or cb located outwith the board?

Thanks v.much in advance

Sorry, hit post before I'd finished!

That part of section L would be the main switch and meter tail details (at the origin).

so if section K is for service fuse i.e BS1361 is section L for the main switch inside the DB i.e BS EN 60947-3?

What if there are two d.b.s and they are different?

Section L is for THE main switch of the installation, you don't need to record the details of other distribution board switches, only overcurrent protective devices upstream that supply those distribution boards.

That information will be entered on the schedule of circuit details in the 'supplied from' box.

Check out appendix 7 of the on-site guide, although using model forms, you can see from the examples what information goes where.

right so lets take a domestic installation for example

The SWA comes into the building to a BS 1361 II (B) 100A
Then from there to the meter
From the meter it goes two places via two sets of tails - to DB1 which has a BS EN 60947-3 and also to another DB2 which has a BS 5419

What information would go in section K and what information would go in section L?

Many Thanks

Well technically that property has 2 electrical installations and it now depends on which one you are working on as to what you record in part L, K would be the same for both.

Personally I feel there should be a single means of isolation for all of the installations within a property.
