Anyone know were I could find a Panel Building course/training for more mature people?
I am originally from a construction and civils background and in recent yrs have moved to work for an Electrical Contractor in the estimating department.
I have finished a Postgraduate level Diploma in Building Services Design and have an NVQ Level 3 in CAD.
The company I work for are branching into panel building and I am a candidate to start there both designing and fabricating. I did serve my time as a tradesman but this was as a Bricklayer (hardly a basis for electrical work!!)
I know JTL do an NVQ for this but its for younger guys than me. I have approached clarksonevans to see if they can provide a bespoke course and they are researching the request. I have also contacted several of the technical colleges for info and they maintain most of the Panel Building training takes place in-house.
