Good evening,

i am am registered with Elecsa and have been using their online certification system, however I find it a nightmare to fill out and often forget something. So I am looking into possibly issuing paper certificates instead, here is where I need advice!
when I do it online it generates a certificate number, so how or where would you suggest I start with certificate numbers on paper forms?

Why don't you try another program like easy cert, holly croft etc?

I keep it simple and number my certificates to co-ordinate with my invoice numbers. It means my certificate numbers are not sequential, but it only has to make sense to me.

I use easy cert now but used paper forms for years. The Elecsa downloadable forms are as good as any once you have popped your logo onto them. The only pain with using paper forms is making mistakes, and if using plain paper model forms, scanning them for duplicates. Duplicate written forms may make more sense if you are issuing lots of certificates but the cost will soon rack up.

I would urge you to try the free trial of easy cert to see if you get on with it.

I think another member may have uploaded some editable forms too not so long back, seems to ring a bell.
 
As above. I use the invoice number for my cert. If there are 2 or more certs I add a, b, c, etc

I use pirform or shineform as it's now known.

Easyform has a 14 day trial.

Can't understand how you find them a nightmare to fill out. There are some prompts and at the finalise stage, it tells you if you've missed something, and you can view a pdf file of your cert before finalise it. If you're missing stuff, it's your fault (done it a couple of times myself) and other software or paper certs will not change that. What I like about online certs, is the host takes responsibility for storage, photos or other docs/media can be added to the cert or file for cert. Once completed the cert cannot be altered or added to, which can perhaps safe guard you from unscrupulous clients.

There is the issue of cost of the cert (which I pass onto the customer), and being with Elesa/NIC, but I believe Stoma do on line certs.

If your having technical issues with completing them, ring the helpline.
 
The Elecsa ones, used to be the best around when I last used them.
If you intend to save the Certs. on your computer, it may be an idea to include the post code of the installation in with the number, to make it easier to find in the future.
