This parliamentary committee have oversight of DECC and, by coincidence, have Chris Huhne before them tomorrow morning for him to answer questions on The implications of the Government’s spending plans for the Prime Minister’s pledge to make this Government the greenest ever and Spending on subsidies for low-carbon technologies amongst other things.

So there we have it from the transcript - in the UK we get no sun, the days are too short and solar PV is an annoying zit on the energy map. Very enlightening view from those entrusted with UK PLC growth strategy. Probably the proud descendants of those who dumped the jet engine, space rockets and computers....
