Hi guys, Just a few questions on the dreded part p regs.

In a kitchen there are 5x 12v down lights each with there own transformer. The customer wants to add 3 more to the circuit.

Q1) Although its a minor works, it is still notifyable, so would you still fill out a Minor works cert or a EIC? Also if you Filled in the EIC, on the shedule of inspections cert, would you tick the SELV box as each down light has a transformer and no other light does?

Q2) How would you IR test the circuit because all the other lights are normal, except the 8 in the kitchen. Would you disconnect each transfomer or just connect Line and Neutral together and test to earth?

Q3) If you discconected each transformer how do you test them? I know it has to be at 250v dc but where or what do you test?

Any input would be greatfuly accepted.
