Ive been doing pat testing for the past few years now and I need to move on!

I have the C&G 2377 and the 17th ed.

Ive been looking into the Domestic installers course to start off with but have a few q's...

Is the EAL and the NIC version the same, any disadvantages with any?

Can i take the 2391 after the above course or do i need the 2330 first?

Also, would this tester be suitable or would I need additional ones?

Thanks

golfpaul,
I have a easyplus and it has been great so far. I can undertake all 17th Edition tests with it. I just supplement it with a ÂŁ10 continuity tester when working without the need for too much accuracy. I will buy another Metrel tester when this one packs up. You can't go wrong for the money - rugged Eastern Block technology and very user friendly.

partp offers two versions defined scope and full scope, i know guys who have done a di course(full scope) by training providers only to find when trying to join a scheme they will only accept it as defined scope - to avoid this i would do the course with whichever scheme provider you wish to join or at least to check with them first.

2391 can be taken at anytime only 17th edition is a prequisite - tough course to pass

would avise paying the extra and purchasing a megger or a fluke
