Can I be a part P registered person but still work for a different company. I have my 17th edition and my 2391 so I would just need to do the Part P exam? Also do people come out and asses your work?

Nothing to stop you being part P in your own right for your assessment you will need two jobs one notifiable one non notifiable. They will come out and assess the jobs you have done and ask a few questons on passing this you can then self certify your own work in domestic premises. You will also need your own insurances etc etc

However your employer may not like it and ifts its part of your contract of employment you may end up with no job
