hi guys can anyone point me in the direction off where in the part p document it says about low energy lighting amount of etc, also do any of you feel the need to own copies of the other building regs documents?

Energy efficient lighting comes under "Part L" of the Building Regs......."Conservation of Fuel and Power".

so that kind of answers the question of the other documents, is it necessary to have a copy of all of them?

You'll need a copy of Part P if you register with a Part P scheme provider, NIC, Napit etc.

As for the rest, you wont ever be asked to show them by anyone but, they're free to download so it wouldn't hurt to keep a copy on your PC just for reference.

when joining a scheme do you get questioned on things like energy efficiency?

Not as far as I'm aware.

It's a seperate building reg to part p and BS 7671 which is what you will be assessed on.
