part p

M

mod

Hi desperatley need advice/help. I completed part p defined scope which is very basic as i understand and i want to know what i can and cant do and how to fill in certificates and how to do testing. I also want to become domestic installer but dont know exactly which course to do etc, ive been told by some people to do 2330 level 2 &3, im told by sum1 else that 2330 will be scrapped soon and taken over by sum1 else. please help

before you can be a domestic installer you need to be a member of a part p scheme from napit , niceic or elecsa. you will need the 17th (2382) exam and demonstrate knowledge to pass their assessment, the 2330 is good if you can still get on it otherwise the replacement (can't remember its name off hand)

yes you are correct that the 2330 is being scraped and as of next year people will no longer be able to take it as far as im aware apart from the people who are already in there 2nd/3rd year outherwise you will have the replacement course the 2356 i think it was which you need to have work in the trade already before you can sighn up but as far as im aware all you need is the 17th and get your 2392 with 12 months or somethign like that after you register

I have sent numerous emails to the Government since 2005 expressing my my deep concern about the Odius scam providers and the rip off BC charges.
Hopefully this lot looks a bit more realistic in their thinking of how grossly unfair this Part P crap is.
Wants scrapping, send yer emails off to the link (I have AGAIN).

Thanks for the link.

I will be sending a rather large e-mail asking they scrap the part p scheme and use the JIB to measure peoples competence.
