Would I need to do the Part P course to register with NICEIC even though I have NVQ lv3, level 3 tech cert, 17th edition, 2394 and 2395?

Thanks

you don't need to do any useless part p course. parp p is just a section of the building regs. that you need to follow. contact niceic or whichever scam you prefer to get details of membership.

If by Part 'P' course you mean what is commonly termed the "Electrical Trainee" course then this will probably give you the technical qualifications to be registered under Part 'P'. It is upto the registering Part 'P' body (ELECSA, NAPIT etc .. ) to decide if you have the competence and experience to actually register you. Plus you only need to be registered for Part 'P' if you want to do domestic type work, not commercial or industrial.

Plenty of info on the forum if you use the search facility!

Ok thanks, not looking to do it at the moment as I'm still technically an apprentice, it was just something I was wondering for the future. I can't personally see the point as it's a level 2 qual but suppose a lot of these scheme providers lack common sense.
