Had my first initial assessment from the Field Officer yesterday and please to say I passed.

So in a week to 10 days I should be fully live on the competent person registers and can really get stuck in to getting some work under my belt.

Initially thought it was going to be quite daunting. But whilst the chap was strict with what he wanted to hear and see from me. He was also pragmatic and said at the end that he could go to bed that night knowing that I'm competent enough to work solo.

Spent longer than he usually does watching me do some testing and quizzing me about results and if I understood them. But this is due to me putting down to inspect and test other people's work. He was with me for just over 3hrs and didn't touch the Coffee or Biscuits I had out! ??

So if anyone needs a cheap but OCD spark in Shropshire then let me know. ?

Carl.
