How do you do yours?
Listed all on 1 sheet or more for more results or separately?
Do you give anything else with the results for a little personal touch..ie like a certificate?

i dont even give them the results.. it says PASS and FAIL... 9/10 person dealing with the records aint got a clue about what they mean... they like to see Green Stickers and PASS...

Red Stickers and Fail means it goes in bin or i fix it for a price...!!

keep it simple..!!

i use tysoft Easy Pass ... it prints a completion certificate and an asset list saying pass or fail...!! if fail it gives a reason...!! it also does other features but i skip around them..!

:) i know so!! my services have been commented on!! had some mint referals as well...!! all corporate and up end of pay scales!!

all started from a lonley office with 125 items to a hotel and now a PR office in city centre of newcastle, all said see you next year again, look out for your reminder..!
:)

I use the seaward Europa plus so it's all stored automatically. I have to key in a quick description but it gets done while tests are being carried out so no time is wasted.

I often print out multiple results per page. I tested at a popular drinks manufacturer and it contained about 119 pages with 30 odd tests per page. The guy was ecstatic with my presentation and couldn't have been happier.
However some clients are interested in quick reliable service with stickers on appliances being more than adequate. Each to his own i guess, but you can discuss this with the client when arranging quite simply.

If you choose to present the results it will probably depend on the quantity of results as to how you display them. You normally have many options be it 1 test a page, 2 tests a page or a hundred...

i just got a simple Kewtec 73, gives results on lcd screen but i follow the RED/GREEN leds most of time..! normally you can tell if an appliance will fail before you even plug it in!!

i get preprinted stickers from the web, annoted 1-1000 and just start my big jobs off at 1 - whatever...!

then smaller jobs get the start from an even number 500 / 550 / 560 etc keeps waste down plus i can keep track..

my test results are kept dead simple!! unless stipulated by client.. then i print of the results page

And it's working very well for you ;)

Did you ever one day sit and think...

''i'm a qualified electrician... PAT is supposed to be dog work... when i was training this was the job nobody wanted to do...''

But for some reason I'm doing it as it's effective, profitable, required everywhere, and repeat business???

I did...

Lots.

i think that every time when im looking at an oblivion of items 1k plus and i think im getting a few quid for no outlay and i get to walk around a nice hotel and view the best rooms..!!

think it depends what type of tester you have also... mine is simple but the navy had a megger pat4 thingy...! load of tosh and needed full description every time for each item before test was done..!

ok for repeat jobs as you get label with barcode but for one off waste of time..

I see on your sheet that you use a KT71, I am looking at getting a PAT tester and someone else has recommended the KT71. What do you think of yours as an owner?

Cheers
