Hi guys, just wondering what are peoples preferred PAT testers. What do you find easy to use what do you hate.

I use the megger pat 4 with the software so very little paperwork as all tests etc downloaded to computer and printed out.

Chris

That must be very usefull, it drives me mad typing up all the test results!

I have used the big fluke PAT and now have a martindale handypat 600.....Good bit of kit.

Software I use is Tysoft easy pat which is cheap but ok to use, they offer a 30 day free trial.

My labels are printed by patlabels.co.uk.......also very good!

I've had a play about with the Robin 5500 but a few people have mentioned the seaward supernova & Europa. Anybody had any dealings with either.

The Seaward Supernova is probably the daddy of all pat-testers IMO.....you will pay for it though as it aint cheap.

I used one on hire to pat test construction site plant once, somewhere in the region of 1100 appliances....the seaward is amazing but the cost I feel is too much more than it's rivals who although can do what it does, dont do it as well.
