PAT Testing Dishwasher or Similar? Finding good Earth point

Hi

Just wondered when trying to find a good place to put the earthing test lead what is the best place.

I presume most dishwashers like washing machines can only be switched on when the door is shut.

Personally my dishwasher does not have any good earthing points to put the test lead onto as the back as covered with a kind of black covering which is lacquered onto the dishwasher.

What is the best way to find a good point?

Would the only option be to unscrew one of the side panels or similar?

Clip your earth lead to one of the feet, these are usually steel screw in jobs and fix into the chassis.

or patly unscrew one of the screws and as long as it is screwed into the metal casing, clip onto the screw

I use one of the hinges; you don't need the earth clip attached to test run leakage.
