Hi,

To cut a long story short... I'm just going to buy a pat tester, just about to make some forms up so that I can pop my logo on etc, just wondered what columns people have on their forms and what they hand to the customer or record they keep? Is it just the equipment register with the following columns on?

I'm not doing this on a big scale, its just when i do an EICR for a landlord and they want the appliances doing as well.

Ive got the following fields so far, are any of them not needed? Would be handy to see someone elses example.

  • Asset no
  • Equipment make/model
  • Serial number
  • Date of test
  • Appliance description
  • Location
  • Re-test date
  • Visual test
  • Earth bond test
  • Insulation test
  • Load and leakage tests
  • Polarity test
  • PASS/FAIL rating
  • Notes

You would be better off fella going into CEF and spending a tenner on a pad of Pat testing certs there, then get home and make your own based on those you have just bought, JMO

You don't need a re test date on your labels the new "code of Practice for the in house testing of Electrical equipment" is what you need lots of changes retest date date being one of them
