Pcb

Hello,

im working on a nurse call system which I am required to incorporate a Pcb into the lighting wiring so that the new wireless handset can turn the bed head light on and off. The Pcb is to be mounted into the bed head "box" above the patients bed, this consists of two single sockets, a fuse carrier and a light switch (which also works the bed head light) the other half of the box is nurse call which is all redundant now. The back box to this plate is all metal and is used as the mechanical earth for the sockets and the lighting. The Pcb that I am installing comes with a plastic stand off bracket in each corner with adhesive tape on in order for me to stick it to the back of the back box where the internal wiring is. Question is this, is it ok for me to do this without putting it in a plastic enclosure? Theoretically if someone was to open this up without it isolated then there is a risk of electric shock as the Pcb is enclosed? But you could argue it should have been isolated prior to removal. The sticky pads are pretty strong, and the four feet space the back of the Pcb off of the back box by about 5mm or there abouts. Do I need a plastic enclosure? Or is the actual front plate which houses the sockets etc acting as my enclosure? Any advice much apreciated
