iv just had someone phone me up......saying they have just had a rewire and cu upgrade but the electrician hasnt given them a cert and now they cant get hold of him ....i take it he was not registered so they want me to test and inspect it and do a cert ..... would it have to be a periodic because i did not do the work in the first place?

Not being cynical, but most likely they cant get hold of electrician because he never existed in the first place

You are probably a means to an end :(

Funnily enough a building contractor phoned me to asking to complete the final 5% of work at a small development because he can't get hold of the elec contractor and he thinks he has gone bust, Iphoned Nic asking solution and I was told I could not certify the installation in any which way and the B/contractor would have to get BC or the appointed agent to do it . ( i did price the original job but was ÂŁ 8k too dear - or was I )
