I'm currently messing around at home don't worry all safe and isolated etc. I got a baby 1.1kw motor from work as I'm in a domestic house of course only single phase and I'm not cheeky enough to find a spare inverter at work for it to work! 
But I'm making a little starter using some capacitors start and run caps I asked a one of the at work and he recommended 30uf per HP for run and 50uf per HP for start. But anyway my question arises that I'm running them via separate contactors for the run and start via a timer and that will initiate the change from start to run, so I have essentially my Live, Neutral and Capacitor 'phases' is it a better idea for me to have the capacitor on the supply or load side of the contactor? I'd guess or assume on the supply so it's already charged? Any other CONTRUCTIVE criticism would be helpful if I'm not doing this right!
