S7-400 and PILZ PSS 306

Hello dear forum members !
i m using S7-416 DP2 and Step7 ver. 5.4 in combination with safety contoller PILZ PSS SB 3006-3 ETH and PSS WIN-PRO ver.- 1.80.

I want to force two of PILZ inputs (safety relays) to be always 1. I falowed PSS WIN-PRO documentation and i create variable table with both inputs. Than i try to force them to 1 , but i had error and nothing hapend. If anyone have expirience with this i ll be very thankfull.
Please see atached screenshot of what hapend when i m trying to force those 2 inputs.

The reason that i want to do this is because we will temporary remove one light barier for maintanence and i dont want to stop whole factory because of that ! :)

Hi

if you know the input on the s7 plc from the pilz relays, can't you hard wire a tempory permant supply to the inputs so the inputs will be on all the time?

not knowing the details of your system, but when a pilz relay has operated due to an emegency stop or curtain being made the pilz relay will also knock the control voltage off to the s7 outputs or contactors and stop the machine.

Yes this is also an option that i could try, but i wanted to do it with software. Because it looks very easy and i already did this kind of input forcing with simatic manager for Siemens controllers and it was work for 10 sec. The same can be done for PILZ controller but i don't know how. That's why i m asking here with hope that someone with bigger experience
will help me.
Thank you very much for you r suggestion.

as its a safety issue its possible that the programme has been written to prohibit the forcing of this input, i'd second jpmiff, link the two inputs, that'll take probably less time than hooking up a laptop, logging on and changing the software.

ELECTROQUIP Welcome to the forum
As you appear to be using the forum under the illusion of "offering advice" But you have phone number sales links to websites Id advise talking to Forum owners Admins about possibilities of sponsering part of forum before you do SALES PITCHES even though I think what your doing MAY help some people its a SALES pitch
Please dont take offence and throw dummies around the floor BTW this makes forum untidy and a trip slip risk for all concerened
Doing it in the way you are will result in people taking offence and you getting banned If you go to members list and search for DAN or look for a Moderator to PM Best of Luck
