One and all,

Can anyone tell me what code I should be using on a PIR for a bathroom fan that has not been vented to the external please?

It is a 4inch fan that has flexi ducting in to a loft.

Thanks

The only thing that crosses my mind is 'equipment not installed to manufacturers instructions', the reg number fails me now but wether it covers this particular aspect as opposed to the actual electrical element is open to debate.

Other than that, a building reg as said.....part f.

Don't know beaver if you followed me in after 10 pints and a Ruby it might be construed as life threatening, if the fan didn't exhaust to air.

instant rodent control.

now's the time to call in the loft insulation idiots.

No code.. As stated it's not bs7671, manufactures instructions could still be followed for the electrical install of the fan. So still no deviation in my book.

Air ventilation has nothing to do with electrical installation.

Brilliant. I've now read through all 4 PIR's that I've been given and all 4 have a code 1 for "Fan not vented to the external", on 2 of the reports, they have listed 2 fans in each property. Very strange.
