Guys, if youve got time I wouldnt mind a brief opinion of this finding from this morning before I write it up.

Lighting circuit no cpc from about halfway, all metal fittings earthed before the break then no continuity into bedroom and bathroom/ all roses and class two fitted from that point but steel back boxes are used, no earth to bathroom fan, but bathroom lights are SELV

cheers

Code 4 as per regulation 412.2.3.2.

If you feel that the bathroom may cause concerns then you could code it a 2 for that special location. Is the fan double insulated if not then perhaps a 2 just for it's location and not being a class II piece of equipment.

As the back boxes should not be accessible under normal use then just a code 4, OK if face plate screws can be touched then you could code it a 2 but IMO that is just OTT.

I would be advising the client on above findings and recommending remedial work if they wanted it.

Thanks Malcolm, she's a good landlady and ive done all her inspections, she trusts me and goes ahead with all the work I recommend so I wanted to make sure its right.
