Tricky one this as it's the DNO that stipulates maximum length of tails before additional overcurrent protection is required.

BS 7671 does comment on it, although vaguely and basically says that the distributor should be consulted.

I would code it 2 also, as IMO a little bit over is still over and if a situation did arise (although unlikely) all fingers would point at you regardless of how much over the max it is.

As with all PIR code questions, all IMO.

You would have thought they'd have a switch to flick on and off to engage an override. Not on each PIR but an actual light switch
