Hi all,Been asked by a local builder, if I can do PIR's for him, for the local social housing company, he told me the guy he is using at the moment is doing them for £50 per house, is it just me or is that really cheap, I can't see how he is making anything on them.

To do a proper pir i allow myself 40mins - 60mins per circuit. Some will take a lot less time others will take longer. If you have a line of council houses to do then youy can get more done just simply because theyre all pretty much the same and the same faults will be present and you'll know where to spot them.

At that price I'd let him carry on doing them. Mossy a proper PIR can be done for 50 squid

I'm in merseyside, that cost of £20 was a "trade" price, if it was a job price it would be more like £30 per circuit. As for the 10% thats only if all looks ok, if there are faults with the items you inspect, I would say you should look a bit more.
