Hi all,

Can anyone catergorically confirm when the changeover took place ? Must you be using EICR now and are PIR completely invalid or are we still in a phasing in/out period ? Or is there any publication/text by the relevant bodies that states what should be in use right now ?

Many Thanks.

Change over began when the regs amendment 1 came into force , 1st of January 2012.
So yes , you need to use EICRs from now on.

Transition was between June 2011 and 1/1/12 but the only thing was nobody had their documentation ready until March / April I spoke to a Kewtech guy who said it was being held up but did not say why. Plus I beleive NEICIC to their people to keep useing the PIR docs until they got theirs in place
