Customer wants a PIR light fitting outside they just wnt it to b a able to come on when some1 walks 2wards it. Shall i take it straight off the CCU or come from a switch (if it has a feed) or shall i convince her to have it switched.

Feeding from a local switch will not work unless there is a neutral there already.

It should be switched as a lot can be overridden by a flick on and off. This makes the light stay on regardless.

It can the be reset by turning off for a few seconds and then back on to PIR mode.

A switch should also be fitted for isolation, even if you mount it next to the CU.

Yh cheers, tht is y i said if there is a feed so if a feed hopefully they have dropped neutrals, i only got phoned about it the other day, gonna view it soon just wnted a quick fix cheers

You would have thought they'd have a switch to flick on and off to engage an override. Not on each PIR but an actual light switch
