Hello all

i installed some post and spike lighting for a client switched via a 360 degree PIR controlled by an outdoor light switch

now the clients wants to be able to flick a switch so his outside lights can over ride the sensor and remain illuminated until he switches them off

then to be able to flick a switch if he wants the lights to illuminate by the pir

I have ran a permenantt feed to the pir from the switch and then switch wire from the pir to the lights

thanks in asvance

Also the pir I have installed can't be over ridded and he also doesn't want to have to flick a switch a numerous amount of times to get the lights on

read the instructions for the PIR. most will do this by momentarily flicking the switch off/on once or twice.

Think its like Tele said, 3Core/E and could have a 1P2T switch were one side to the sensor and the other side going to the sensor but bypassing it.

Thanks for replys

the pir I have you can't over ride I even rang the manufacturer

sorry my poor explanation I do have a 3 core and earth swa at the pir

where could I get a 1p2t outdoor switch from?

just parallel a switch to the pir job done, a twin will do the job, can you get a twin from the PIR to the switch position?

That will work fine as long as the Pirs use relay switching, some don't.

You would have thought they'd have a switch to flick on and off to engage an override. Not on each PIR but an actual light switch
