I have started a PIR for a small work shop and have come accross a 1.5mm 4 coreSWA supply feeding the overhead low bay lights, the cable is terminated into galv adaptable boxes at various points with the lights flexes entering the boxes, the workmanship is good and all seems in order but the 4 core carries two single phase circuits on two separate mcbs (2x10A) from a single phase lighting board(2x live, 2x neutrals, sheathed earth with independant 4mm earth run with it)these are switched separatly also.
Now would you code this, or maybe at least add a warning label on the points of termination, but i am thinking along the lines of if it was singles in conduit it would be fine so really the SWA is just a mechanical protection, there are no crossed or borrowed neutrals, just 4 cores in one cable, i have seen multicore SWA used with more than 1 circuit before so i would assume this is the same
Any input??
