im in need of a small pir size of 50p to go under a bath in a small boxing recessed to switch some led strip lighting,i can get a photocell of this size but need a pir any ideas

How about a IR beam sensor like they use for electric gates, cant think what they're called but some are pretty discreet

ummm not thought about that!!! was told they dont do pirs that size so have just been focused on getting the pir

the trouble with infra red beam is they are lv so you'll have to install a transformer and their not a lot smaller than a pir when their cased

Check RS they have a compact PIR sensor (2mm bigger than a 50p!)
Cost a bit though, I seem to remember searching for the suppliers that do the sensors integrated into domestic lanterns but did not have much luck.

If you've got space to conceal a control box then there is a small PIR head available from here: 240Vac Mini PIR Motion Detector Module (PIR415)
