Planning permission on a pub for PV install...

Hi all just wondering can you give me some input, do you need planning permission on a pub to install Pv lower floor is a pub and upstairs is the living area for the owner.

it would fall under the same planning as everything else. If its less than 200mm off the roof and not in conversation,its fine ! I'm guessing its a free house, and the publican owns the freehold .....

Ye its a free hold just a tricky one and was unsure where it would fall...

Permitted development only applies to domestic properties, I doubt that something that pays business rates and needs specific non domestic planning consents to operate would be classed as a standard domestic property.

Now Im confused, no point in asking council as the money grabbers will say YES

Brings to mind another question...5% or 20% vat...

now, if the upstairs were a separate flat with separate meter, entrance etc etc and the contract was related to the flat not the pub, then you could be ok, but it's grey area territory at best.

Pure nightmare..... I dont want to ill advise just for the sake of it..one meter for the pub and flat...

Permitted development on dwellings including flats only applies where the block is nothing but flats. Mixed commercial and flats are excluded.
