PLC courses (allen bradley, Mitsubushi etc)

Can anybody help me out with some information. I want to continue with my PLC training but the company I work for just keep saying 'yes maybe next month' which never happens. So I want to do the course or training myself. So can anybody guide me in the correct course to do as I am thinking along the Lines of something similar to a open course.
