Hi peeps,Total novice and i could do with some advice please. Here we go Brother in law has asked me to add a 3rd light* to a bedroom and to remove the existing switch and replace it in a stud wall with 2 gang and the other switch would be positioned on another stud wall( make sense?,2nd+3rd lights on the 2 gang and 1st light elsewhere ) The problem i've found on entering the loft space is the 2.5mm (yes i know)'loop in' is connected to spotlights with earth wire visibly bent back and bare and then carries on to the 2nd bedroom light. This is all in a connector block and wrapped in black tape in a Y shape.(Feed in- spurred off to the spots- carrying on to next light) where i had planned somewhere inbetween to put a junction box and run off to the 3rd light* I've found that on the upstairs light circuit there is 18 lights, a combination of 40w 20w and a number of spotlights. This all on a 5amp circuit. The combined wattage of the lights comes to less than 1150w Currently and i have pointed this out to him but amongst the mess up there i was wondering is the light circuit ok for me to add another light(3rd light*)or am i to look at this as a circuit with too many lights on it as if each point were to have 100 watt bulbs then it would be way too much load on the circuit. Please advise thanks
