Hi, a friend of mine has asked me to help him out with one of his customers on his window cleaning round. They have an aerial hanging loose and dangerously half way down the front or side of the house and want the wire cut and the whole thing removed.
They have two aerials and the one hanging loose is the old one, apparently. The customer is only 50/50 as to whether it is redundant or still linked to a circuit, apparently he has tried going into the loft but can't see anything that it might be attached to.
I explained over the phone that it might pop or trip the electrics in the house... Now, I only said this because I've never worked Domestically or with AV type wires... So wasn't really sure? LOL Either way he said he doesn't care, as long as it's taken down and removed. Obviously, I'm happy to carry out the work as I have the proper insulated tools to do so. But if I can help it, would not want to leave him without any electric...
Do you think that if it's still linked up that it will trip anything else or would it be safe to say that if they have a second aerial that it would have been diconnected somewhere down the line? Many thanks.
