Off topic, but just a public information alert to talk to your parents/elderly relatives to let them know of the common phone scams.
My mother fell for one today, even though she's still very much with it for 82 and usually pretty sensible...
"police officer" from the fraud squad rang her saying they'd arrested someone trying to use her cards - and were running a sting operation, which required her to go and withdraw money and hand it to a courier...
Sounds ridiculous in print, but they were clearly persuasive and know how to wear people down. Part of that is of course telling them not to contact anyone or talk about it - and knowing just had to draw someone in and keep them dangling.
Have her doing all the right reporting tomorrow and maybe some of it can be claimed back through credit cards.
Thankfully while it's a significant amount it's not enough to seriously affect her life.
Doesn't matter how obvious it is - just talk to the people in your life and remind them that no police/bank will EVER ask you to withdraw money, or transfer money, or give out any bank/credit card details/pins/etc.

To make it electrical relevant - I think the Knipex installation pliers will be the ideal tool to deal with the scrotes who did it if I ever happen to meet them. Has just the right combination of grip, twist and cutting force...
