hi guys, during installing a new ring main today during testing ze i recieved a high reading of 32 ohms on a pme system.i know thi is high. should i inform the suppliers? or is that down to us sparkies? my zs readying are slightly higher by a 0. sumthing. if i need to infor this on certificate where do i put it? it is rcd protected and 32a mcd type b. any help appriciated. cheers

Do you mean 32 or .32? If the latter, then it complies.

0.8 if TN-S
0.35 if TN-C-S

In the practical sense, it doesn't really matter to you if your installation is RCD protected as that gets you the other side of 1600 ohms and still complying with regs, but it's not right and you should flag it with the DNO. However, be prepared for them to not be that interested and tell you to make it a TT.

If this 32 ohm reading is correct, I think they will be rather more conserned than you think, if this is PME supplied system!! ....Something is braking down on the neutral of this DNO supply, and probably at the tee off joint for the property!!!
