Hi guys, I'm pretty new at testing and I started work a few months ago working on outdoor advertising units and bus shelters (please don't laugh)
Anyway I'm trying to figure out supply types for when we test installations, now the stuff I work on (50% of it) is fed from a service pillar on the pavement and the dno cutout supply (cable going into) is SWA (meaning it is a spur from nearby street lighting which can be isolated in the street lamp column). The other 50% of sites are fed from underground dno supply cables (jointed in ground), it is these cables I need to know how to identify the supply type. Currently I'm told to put it down as pme, and if its a SWA feed then put down tncs or tns accordingly (no sites have TT supply that I have come across).
Is this correct?
From previous readings on this forum, all pme supply's are tncs but not all tncs are pme?
My fingers are sore from excessive head scratching, I suppose the language barrier at work doesn't help (me being a mancunion (gods best creation) and the others being scoucers lol)
