I'm not sure if the reports of child abuse in Rotherham are an elephant in the room on this forum or if forum rules prevent it from being discussed.
I am sure I'm appalled by the reports in the news.
Not because of the ethnicity of the animals accused but the reason it was allowed to continue unchecked for so long with people being made immune to prosecution because the authorities involved feared being accused of being racist!
Since when has being politicaly correct been more important than the safety of a child?
I can't put into words the sadness, anger and revulsion this has evoked in me.
As a father and grandfather I'm deeply shocked and disappointed by those in authority who looked the other way when asked for protection by frightened helpless vunerable desperate children. Those they'd sworn to protect.

When good men do nothing bad things happen.
1,400 abused children, it doesn't get worse than that!

Same as Slowhand, and what's more upsetting and morally inexcusable is the muppet who was in charge during the period these animals were conducting their vile trade, is now the crime commissioner for that area, unbloody believable.

Hum.... the last person they did this to was the head of dept, Sharon Shoesmith, of the Baby P case - she won an unfair dismissal case and got a £680,000 payoff.

This is the tip of a Titanic size Iceberg it rife thoughout britain and was even exposed in a documentary 10yrs ago about grooming gangs of pakistani origin back then... Jimmy saville did a lot of evil things but the silver lining is the kneejerk reaction and media over-exposure has finally crossed the boundary was keeping this cloaked for many yrs and that is the fear of looking like a racist ..well im sorry but if a gang of white Pedo's is exposed by a black person no one used to bat an eyelid but the other way around and all of a sudden its a conspiracy against an ethnic group and your a racist.

The line is now crossed and what is been exposed is a culturally bred disrespect of mainly white females as objects for their pleasure, you may as you read this consider my views racist and if so then your way of thinking is half of the problem here and why we have had young girls groomed and raped on a monumental scale. I live local to Bradford, Dewbury Batley etc who all have a high Ethnic populous and the number of investigations and gangs been exposed in recent yrs in my local area is extremely worrying, I know some abused kids and there is always another story hitting the news regular, if you live in a large city then your in for a shock shortly when the high coverge of this subject brings people out to report they have been a victim too.

Of course rapist, groomers and pedo's come in all shapes sizes colours and religions but in the last 10yrs with respect to the percentage of offenders with regards to their ethnicity against their percentage of the population they hold is showing a massive percentage of all the abuse is from a particular ethnic minority at almost a cultural level and mindset and a belief that this is acceptable due to certain scripture in the very book they base their beliefs on.

As I said watch this space ... this is going to explode over the next few years with a knock on effect of far right groups finding a new field of membership fuelling even more tensions and segragation.

Just to give a little balance I can to this post this was also rife in many care homes, hostels etc where high profile people ranging from the government to business men paid to abuse the children in care .. recently another exposure which was in Ireland but you'll see these seeping through but not as much as their is still a lot of high profile people out there using every power they can to hide some of these attrocities.

Heads should roll over this, if it were my daughter who had been abused I'd be doing time for a lot of revenge attacks now. That said, from what I can make out it was mainly kids who were in care who were the victims so maybe their parents didn't care enough for them in the first place or they wouldn't have been there in the first place.
The ethnicity of the criminals is irrelevant, if a crime has been committed then the perpetrators should have been tracked down and brought before a court. Those who didn't do their jobs for fear of what they'd be called are as complicit as any member of the gang.
Presumably they are still at large and so should be tracked down now, better late than never.

Fully agree, Ide be going down for murder if I had a daughter that had been raped. And I wouldnt feel remotely bad about it!

This is the problem trev with grooming its now kids from all backgrounds they are made to feel loved and wanted groomed for a year on treats alcohol and drugs sometimes then it turns nasty and the real abuse begins been passed around like meat ...my mates daughter got pregnant at 14 to an asian 25yr old ... its when we found out and lets just say back then several yrs ago it was swept under the carpet when reported but lets just also say yes he wont ever do it again ....can't say anymore on that

You need to realise at first the child is willing thinking they are in a loving relationship yet its still rape in the eyes of the law, and attitudes are now changing to how reports are dealt with ... some girls only realise they are been abused many yrs down the line when they are the local menu for the pedo's.

There's been a couple of very high profile cases round our way recently and the only problem is that one shop with a similar name to the guilty party was targetted by the local idiots.
This sort of thing is nothing new though, there was a bloke who lived on the corner of our street who my dad warned me not to go anywhere near. It turned out after his death that he was a member of a photography club who used to share photos and films so it being a recent phenomenon is rubbish.
So it was common knowledge where I was growing up but the powers that be ignored it. The only explanation I can think of is friends in high places.

Trev, got to disagree with your point about the ethnicity of the perpetrators, whilst not wishing to sound racist, the animals that did this, have had the disregard for females of all ages rammed down their throats since they were young lads, how many times are we going to see these types, running prostitution rings after coming to the UK to ply their evil trade in female flesh, downright animals all of them, prison is too good for them, sorry to go on, but like you I am disgusted, not only with the gangs, but the ineptitude of the PC brigade.:furious3:not with you Mate
