Hi all I have a query that for you lads will seem very simple.

Have an appliance which requires a charging adapter : 220v. 3.2 charge. 1500ma.
Can I use the following adapter as we have lost the one quoted above.

Charging adapter:220v 3.7v charge. 355ma.

Help would be greatly appreciated, what little equation is used to compare the above.

Regards,

Generally you are looking at the current supplying capability and compapring the voltage.

You have a charger that can supply 1500mA and you want to change it for one that can only supply 350mA.
If the item being charged takes more than 350mA then the charger would be overloaded and probably cut out.
If the charger was designed for the equipment then it is likely that the equipment will take something close to 1500mA so probably not a good choice.
Any 3.2V charge that can supply equal to or more than 1500mA should be OK.

The variance of 0.5V in the charge voltage is probably not too significant, though a change to 6 or 12 V for example would be a bad idea.
