Hello.

After trying for almost two years to get work as an electricians mate to enable me to do my NVQ etc, I may have a chance of an apprenticeship. Thing is, Ive been told that pay would probably be around £2.60 per hour, and its a three year programme. Now i jumped at the chance and applied, but with me being 33 years old now and only ever worked in other trades really, im not really sure if this is the right choice to make due to the low wage and me having bills to pay as well as a baby on the way. If anybody else has been in this position and has any suggestions / opinions that would be great, as Im not really sure what to do. I have had three interviews so far and I have a final one next week. :)

im no expert but £2.60 an hour sounds a bit iffy for people smugglers, never mind a flippin' 33 yr old adult trainee.
if on the off chance you havn't heard, google minimum wage!
