Hello all,

one of the jobs we have done using 16 x 250w REC panels and a 4000tl inverter (SMA) the client has been reporting that during full sun (i assume this means the sun coming out from behind a cloud etc.....) the current power shown on the inverter is 0watts it was doing that today and it does show the total amount produced today is almost 8kw.... I am slightly confused as the panels spec's are within that of the invertor but it seems weird its only during full sun I dont know what the problem might be I have called my supplier and sma and they are getting back to me but if anyone has experienced this or might know of the problem would be very kind of you to share !.

Thanks

William

should be fine split on 2 strings? sanyo had issue with sma 4000 but (ive never had prob)

have you checked the error log?

quite possible that it's an overvoltage issue on the grid side, with the inverters output in peak sunlight pushing the voltage over the 253V 10 minute average limit the 4000TL uses.
