get a pile of mousemats done and shove them through shop/cafe/restaurant letterboxes when they are closed so that the find them in the morning, don't go in to give them to the owners....they will keep them as they will be able to use them....
if you do any work for internet cafe's, get about 20 done and leave them there as they will get used to replace the tatty old ones in the cafe, which most of them are in most places, then the customers will see your advert and save it onto their phone or look at your website if they are needing something repaired or replaced....
 
Avoid putting your flyers on car windscreens. This happens a lot outside our local sheds, it really gets up a lot of people's noses (including mine), and most of them end up on the floor. In my view, it gives the business a bad name. Also, in many areas it contravenes local bylaws (it's legally the same as littering).
