Wierd one today got a 4kw system= 2strings of 8 each string 400vdc coming in to inverter, connected string 1 saying 40v 0Watts
string 2 (ok)
dip switch on ind, links out, swapped round red & black & other red & black pre wired crocodile connections and string 1&2 fires up both ok.
didnt have wrong polarity, nothing technical about this as prewired cables are just wires but still thinking why.
power 1 technical were scratching there heads,decent inverter as i normally install sma.
anyone else had this?????

the dip switch has 2 settings par=(paralell striings) or ind=independant strings

there is a jumper you have to move in the inverter to make it run both trackers on a 2 string system. It sounds as though thats what you have now done which is why it's now working.

the jumpers wasnt connected as they were independant strings, it was a wierd one maybe bad connection on the pre wired +&-
