Power for charging 12no Portable uplights!

Hello, I have 12no battery-powered up-lighters that I use to decorate rooms for weddings. To recharge them all, I have to plug in 12 x C15 flex cables into three 4 gang extension sockets, which are then plugged into three wall sockets.

Is there a solution where I can remove the plugs on the c15 cables, connect the cables into a junction box, and then have one cable coming from the junction box and plugged into the wall? I'm looking for a more permanent and neater solution.

have you asked the manufacturer of the lights if they do a multiple light charger?

I infer that the C15 (IEC female) plugs straight into the light, i.e. the charger is integral. In this case, yes, one could make a 'sesquioctopus' using a suitable junction box with 12 glands for the tails to emerge. The problem with this is that if one tail gets damaged the whole thing is out of commission until repaired / made safe.

Personally I would tend to go for two of these compact 6-way splitters with a dozen short IEC-IEC jumper cables 0.5 or 1m long.

Hi James, thanks for your querstion. They don't offer a simple solution. They do have a charging box, but it costs £500* to charge 8 lights!
