Evenin all...
Had to go to a couple of rents for a letting agents.....
Job 1....
got into the property. Found the dis board (16th) in the sellar with no front on it and breakers missing..so exposed bus bar forks ....also, main earthing had been disconnected and used as the feed from the bullit to the breaker at the far left which was scorched at the terminals thus bypassing not only the meter...but also the incomer AND the RCD!...As well as this we also found joint boxes with no covers on etc.....so mostly code 1s here. Neeadless to say..the fuse carrier was pulled and the bullit removed before the carrier was replaced..(for safety reasons). After reporting to the letting agents we were told they had been suspicious of the last tennant growing cannabis.

Job 2
Had some people complaining to the same letting agency about neusance tripping on the RCD. Got to the property to find out it was a faulty kettle causing the problem so advised the customer to replace with new. Went to reset the RCD which was in a low level cupboard under the telly to find that one of the tennants had taken the front off and they had very young children running freely within the room...Which underneath made me really angry. Upon closer inspection i found evidence of tampering with the wire seal and the paper labels had been cut. My suspicions were confirmed when i found a length of 10mm t&e within that cupboard as well.....needless to say this was confiscated and the front replaced securely to the board.

Getting the feeling we will all be seing a lot more of this kind of thing in the near future.
