Power optimizers - worth it ?

What's the general opinion are Power Optimizers - worth it ? , I understand they are very good when used on a less than favourable roof - but how about on a good simple install ?
And how would you favour the different systems on offer ?

I don't like them - it's something extra to go wrong and a very awkward thing to replace.
