When you say powershower what exactly do you mean. Is it just a booster pump located remote from the shower in the loft or something or is it a full on high powered electric job? Give us some more info mate happy to help.

i would usually try to put in a separate circuit but if this is not possible then i would spur off a ring main.

I wouldnt myself if you put in a 9.5kW shower thats maximum is 41 amps not much good on a ring that has a 32amp MCB in the CU. Besides you want to be whiter than white for your assessment.

Can you still do that ? I am a plumber and I've done it before but with all the new regs I'm not so sure.
These showers only draw about 1amp I would run from an RCD spur
